Proven design, optimised technology

Proven design, optimised technology

Active chilled beams have long been indispensable in ventilation concepts for rooms with high cooling loads. As a part of air-water systems, they guarantee not only comfortable air conditioning, but they also optimally use the advantages of water as a medium for load dissipation.
With Types DID312 and DID-E active chilled beams, the technology of these devices has been decisively further developed by TROX. The active chilled beams combine several advantages at once:
High cooling capacity at a low outdoor air or primary air volume flow rate
Heat exchanger for two or four pipe coil systems
Heating and/or cooling is possible
Non-flammable, punched nozzles on an internal nozzle plate
Particularly low sound power level
Type DID312 is now also available as a supply-extract-air combination, and the induction grill is available in four different designs. The vertically mounted heat exchanger with condensate drip tray is unique, and very high cooling capacities are possible even in case of low feed flow temperatures. Due to the low construction height, this type is particularly suited for low false ceilings in new buildings and for the refurbishment of existing buildings with clear room heights of 2.60 m to 4.00 m. Type DID312 is a further development of the proven Type DID300, whose production will be discontinued within the course of 2010.
For specialist consultants, TROX provides an Excel-based design programme available on the Internet. Further information on both product types are available on the TROX website (www.troxtechnik.com) and in the current "Air-Water-Systems" planning manual.
