TAU Cerámica has been working with Puntmobles on more than 6,000 seats and matching home tables for the universal exhibition’s restaurant area.
“Visitors to Expo Zaragoza will be provided with functional, modern furniture, which meets Expo Zaragoza’s environmental and sustainability demands and criteria”, explains the designer Vicent Martínez, the managing director of Puntmobles
Keraon by TAU stands out because it is a material which can “suggest metaphors and sensations, and also represent or symbolise attributes”, as Martínez points out. He says that "although Keraon by TAU is a ceramic based material, it’s both innovative and up-to-date, with a silky feel to the touch; it’s both strong and stable and people find that exciting".
Keraon by TAU is the first material of ceramic origin to be designed exclusively for use on outdoor furniture, due to its superb performance and the aesthetic possibilities it affords by being able to take on any shape.
Keraon by TAU’s main features include its great strength and stability over time; it can cope with even the most damaging atmospheric agents. This makes it the perfect material for furniture which is designed to be used on terraces and in gardens. It can also cope with situations arising out of intense handling, such as the ability to stand up to scratching, abrasion, chemical agents, burns and stains. Keraon by TAU include other advantages such as maximum hygiene and being both cheap to maintain and easy to clean. They are also recyclable, with no harmful emissions.
