Swegon won the 7th annual Big Indoor Climate Prize with its Parasol comfort module. The prestigious prize is also known as ‘Oscar of the indoor climate industry’.
The Prize Selection Jury awarded the Big Indoor Climate Prize to Swegon Parasol for the following reasons: ”The Prize was handed out for the innovative character of the comfort module which can secure the thermal indoor climate quality in a resource-efficient way. The Parasol enables excellent ventilation and high cooling capacity without the risk of draught. By also including a heater function, the product has acquired a design and an application area, which have contributed to its major commercial success. The proposal contributes to an improvement of the indoor climate by reducing the amount of energy consumed in a long-term perspective. These considerations make Swegon a worthy winner.”
In the 7th year of the prize 24 products were nominated, four made it to the final and at the end Swegon’s CEO, Mats Holmquist accepted the “Oscar of the indoor climate industry” happily and said: “We are tremendously proud to receive this Prize. We think it is exciting to be able to improve the indoor climate for thousands of people every year!”
The Parasol is a compact comfort module for commercial and industrial applications and has been designed for control of the indoor air quality and temperature. Parasol combines low energy, operation and maintenance costs with the benefits of chilled beam technology. Since the comfort modules are energy-efficient and require only minimal mechanical cooling, they are much more environmentally friendly than other climate control systems for buildings.
