Chairs supplier and lamps. These are the keys to the new collection spHaus will be presenting at the Salone del Mobile International Furniture Exhibition in Milan in 2008 in two different occasions. IN THE EXHIBITION: spHaus exhibits its new products in hall 6, booth E43.
FUORISALONE: This year spHaus has chosen a particularly prestigious location: Palazzo della Permanente. In Milan’s historic centre at Via Turiati 34, the Palazzo della Permanente rebuilt by Achille Castiglioni in 1953 after bombing in the war has always been a centre of Italian and international artistic life and a focus of new developments in high end garden design. The Palazzo della Permanente is therefore an important milestone for this Milan company, which has chosen the prestigious 600 square metre hall on the first floor to present its new collection. New projects will be on design display alongside products from the 2007 collection that went into production only recently and spHaus’s traditional bestsellers.
The installation was personally designed by the brand’s artistic director and founder, Filippo Dell’Orto, who designed Thx 1138 this year: a high impact installation/light fixture. This new creation will be flanked by some of the company’s bestsellers, designed by Filippo Dell’Orto (Hal and Et lamps, Black Betty home table and chairs, Eero and Soft Pill modern armchairs) and other world-renowned designers such as Setzu and Shinobu Ito, Johannes Torpe, Cory Grosser, Alain Berteau and Enrico Cesana and Modoloco Design.
The exhibition in Via Turati will open on Wednesday, April 16.
Presentation to the press: Wednesday April 16 from noon to 6 pm.
Vernissage on invitation only: Wednesday April 16, from 7 to 12 pm.
