For its fourth edition which was held of the June 11 to 23, exposure MONUMENTA 2011 accomodated under the nave of the Large Palate the international artist Anish Kapoor.
A true challenge for the sculptor who, thirty years after his first exposure in
the capital, gives birth - in the middle of the Nave of the Large Palate - to a new work and
transitory entitled Leviathan.
More than 12.000 m2 of fabric, 99m length and 34m top … Certainement the philosopher's stone
artistic inflated ever realized!
Through a textile matter of an apparent simplicity but hiding a technology
of point - Précontraint® invented by Serge Ferrari - appear the diagram of a sculpture and
the creative expression of an internationally celebrated artist. Its imaginary becoming factor
of innovation whose aesthetic dimension transcends ingeniousness, reliability and
