Borosilicate glass is the basis material for the entire PYRAN® fire restistant glazing product family. PYRAN® fulfils the requirements of fire resistance category E, thus providing a barrier against fire, hot gases and smoke.

PYRAN® S is the product with the highest multi-functionality in SCHOTT‘s fire resistant glazing product range. The glass fulfils the requirements for a single-pane safety glass and, at the same time, is suitable for all applications up to fire resistance category E 120 in a thickness range of 5 to 12 mm with maximum dimensions of 1,800 x 3,600 mm* (for thicknesses 8 to 12 mm.
