Tacoma, WA – April 26, 2008 – KOMPAN, Inc. On the evening of May 4, 2007, the 1,500 citizens of Greensburg, KS spent a night in fear as they listened to the howling winds of an F-5 twister tear through their town. Several people were killed during this tragic event and roughly 95% of the entire town was leveled leaving nearly all of the town’s residents homeless.
Since the tornado’s devastation nearly a year ago, the citizens of Greensburg have reaffirmed their commitment to rebuild their town and in a way unlike any other. Greensburg is going “green”, aiming to become the most environmentally-friendly town in the nation by utilizing the latest technologies and building materials available.
Because of their strong environmental stance, KOMPAN has been chosen as the exclusive supplier for Greensburg’s newly renovated playground.
