Rediscovering high baseboards

The Berliner company Goldleiste and its extra-high skirting is following a
current design trend: walls and ceilings are once again being designed
with high quality in mind, while bringing the flair of older stately homes into
today’s living spaces and offices. Rooms receive an especially exclusive
touch with decorative golden borders.

For some years now, walls and ceilings are again the focus in the discerning home design scene. Stucco and panelling, for example, are experiencing renewed popularity. The Berliner company Goldleiste is pursuing this design trend and has developed beautifully designed room accents with extra high baseboards. Private rooms and exclusive offices are reliving the
grand/lofty aspirations of older mansions.

In the age of ubiquitous computer networks, Goldleiste offers an elegant solution for offices, doctors’ practices and lawyers’ chambers: use skirting to stylishly cover up the messy network cable salad. Gone are the days of beige plastic coverings to hide cables. Even heating pipes can be elegantly concealed. Goldleiste makes it easy to combine modern office use and classic ambience.

Goldleiste offers baseboards in heights of 20 cm, 28 cm and 38 cm. The
baseboards are prepared in three versions: classic, Victorian and Art-Noveau.
The various baseboards can be ordered at www.goldleiste.de and delivered
anywhere in Europe. Company founder and director Klaus
Goldhammer explains the concept: “Thanks to this construction and the
comprehensive selection of designs, we offer baseboards as an uncomplicated
solution for high-quality interior decoration. Until now, these types of baseboards were simply unavailable in Germany”.
