Once again, the stimulating and captivating interaction between GLASS - interpreter of contemporary wellness - and the young designer Claudia Danelon has been further enriched by an innovative interpretation of the bathroom. Beyond: a project that goes beyond the imagination, shaping the visible and the real and fashioning spaces to send bathroom design down new paths and create new emotions promoting wellbeing.
A revolution that veers away from a standardized view of bathroom use in favour of a compositional freedom that reflects and bows to the tastes of those who embrace a contemporary lifestyle.
Originally from Udine in Italy's Northeast, Claudia Danelon now resides in the UK where she works with a well-known architecture & design studio. The designer has come up with an unprecedented combination of different materials ranging from the natural, rounded, almost egg-like shapes of the bathtub and shower tray, both in Pietraluce®, to the architectural rationality of a self-supporting monolith, with its boxy, square appearance and cladding that can be freely chosen to give it an individual stamp. Thus these elements combine in an architectural mix that turns the bathroom into an avant-garde living room.
Beyond is a collection of bathtubs (Beyond Bath) and shower cabins (Beyond Shower) that break traditional moulds to venture into the realm of design and compositional freedom, striking a new balance between forms and materials for the most demanding consumer.
The unique structure of the Beyond Bath monolith, which can be clad with an endless array of materials and finishes, provides for a range of installation options – free-standing as an alternative to corner, wall-mounted or niche - and gives the utmost freedom when it comes to customizing the unit and making it fit in with its surroundings.
Beyond Shower interprets the shower area with a shower tray in Pietraluce®, available in matt white or black, a shower enclosure made from 8mm-thick tempered clear glass and, to house the working parts of the shower, a wall-mounted monolith block that can be clad with different materials and finishes to blend in impeccably with the structure, shape and function of the surroundings. Beyond Shower is made for corner installation.
