Franke presented two new children’s washbasins made of MIRANIT at this year’s ISH. This resin-bonded mineral material with its excellent moulding properties provides the ideal material characteristics for wash solutions suitable for children.
According to the manufacturer, the new GAMBA and LUNA children’s washbasins have been uncompromisingly designed to the requirements of children. The objective was for children to be able to wash their hands like grown ups. This developed into two modern single washing unit solutions that took the increasing trend for the individualisation of sanitary room accessories into consideration.
The delicate look of the washbasins that are adapted to the height of children distinguishes itself with modern and precise flowing lines. The MIRANIT material used also ensures the highest degree of stability. The non-porous and high-gloss hygienic surface on mineral granite underlines the children’s washbasin’s suitability for daily use together with its resistant to impact and abrasion. The smooth surface made of Gelcoat is particularly easy to clean and has proven to be extremely durable.
The washbasin design takes up elements of a child’s fantasy while the warm appearance of the attractive material invites to wash their hands. The contour of the moon is the inspiration for the round bowl that meets a swept tap landing for the LUNA washbasin. The asymmetrical sweep of the tap landing in the body shaped like a king prawn characterises the look of the GAMBA model. The tap landings of both washbasins provide sufficient space for soap dispensers and toothbrush cups.
GAMBA and LUNA children’s washbasins can grow together with the children thanks to the slotted hole design in the rear panel. The combination of flexible connection hoses and an immersion pipe allow for subsequent height adjustments of up to 10 cm without removing the washbasins. The washbasin width of 45 cm and the ergonomically adapted bowl depth create the ideal conditions for children to have fun with water.
The washbasins can be combined with any conventional single-lever mixers as well as modern water-saving taps. So children can learn an economical use of the valuable resource of water in a playful manner.
