In the new Tulipa chair, the team at the Figueras Contemporary design Centre combines a design approach that showcases contemporary lines with a high level of functionality. The new model is especially conceived for use in multipurpose halls, where the same space provides the setting for conferences, meetings, seminars, conventions, and even banquets.
Apart from comfort, the most distinctive aspect of Tulipa’s form is its broad backrest. Thanks to this design, a smooth visual continuity is achieved when chairs are aligned. In terms of functional features, Tulipa is equipped with an automatic seat tip-up system. Depending on the use to which the hall is being put, seats can be kept in the fixed position or the tip-up system can be used.
In the conference room configuration, the tip-up seat makes it possible to increase capacity by 15% and provides more room between rows, which makes it easier to clear the hall in an emergency.
Finally, to optimize the functionality of the hall, this new model is designed to be easily stackable and linkable. The linking system is used to configure the chairs, which can even be arranged in curved lines, and ensures that an orderly appearance is maintained in the hall at all times.
The structure furniture is made of aluminium, and the model is available in various finishes, with natural leather, home fabric or vinyl upholstery. Tulipa can also be equipped with an optional anti-panic writing tablet.
