“Tengo” - A high-quality multi-purpose chair with an understated design

The design design brief for “Tengo”, the new multi-purpose chair from Dauphin, focused on achieving practical contemporary structures, straightforward systems and using fine materials. The chair is available in two different versions: a full-shell model and a split-shell model.

Whilst the full-shell model captivates with its filigree lines, its split-shell counterpart is the compelling choice thanks to its transparency. A charming and fascinating feature here is the backrest which is separate from the seat. Thanks to a concealed fixing, it appears to be freely mounted – floating freely with no connecting components visible.

All models are stackable and are available as a four-legged or cantilever model, either with or without armrests. Thanks to a focused selection of modern surfaces such as decorative cross-veneered walnut wood or white laminate, “Tengo” is suitable for use in any building. The seat and backrest can be fitted with upholstered cushions in matching designs and colours. For use in event rooms, the stackable four-legged frames can be equipped with row connectors, row number holders and seat number holders as well.

“Tengo” is a classically styled item of seating which meets the high demands regarding flexibility and versatility found in communication, waiting and reception areas. With this new multi-purpose chair, Dauphin has come up with an elegant way of closing a gap in its previous range of products.
