Born 60 years ago as a small family business in France’s Loire region, Danube is now a world market leader in the laundry equipment industry.
Since 1947, the company has changed twice of hands, in 1975 when the “enamel” sub-contractor took over the company, then in 1988 when a group of investors leaded by Bernard JOMARD took over.
In the 90’ Danube investors bought another French manufacturer of laundry equipment well known for its high quality, “Charon Brothers “ based in Paris , Charon developed in early 80’ a high spin washers and in 1984 the first Barrier washer.
Through its continual presence at international trade fairs since the early 90’ DANUBE became a well-known brand recognized by the quality of the products Danube is manufacturing and built an international network of non exclusive distributors that covered almost a hundred countries.
ince 2001, DANUBE is seeking to raise its worldwide profile by signing sole agent agreements with Distributors ready to be very active, loyal and able to answer to the specific needs of their markets. Of course they have to be competitive too
Right now Danube has almost ten “Sole agents “ promoting Danube’s products and Danube’s brand in their territories, Since 2000 number of units sold was multiplied by three.
