Case Study - Luxury Seaford Apartments Belgrave Place. Cupa 12
A luxury development of one and two bedroom apartments in Seaford has been complemented by the use of CUPA Natural Slate.
Natural slate was specified for the garden roofing at Belgrave Place as it was considered to harmonise with the surrounding architectural environment. Around 8,000 CUPA 12 slates were used for the project. CUPA 12 is a grey slate with a smooth matt surface and is noted for its exceptional consistency of thickness and surface appearance. CUPA 12 Slate is ideal for larger commercial projects as it is available in thicknesses of between 3 and 6 mm and is offered in various formats including rectangular and square, making it the perfect choice for the prestigious Belgrave Place development.
Project roofing contractors Simmons Roofing Ltd, are no strangers to CUPA Natural Slate and have laid 50,000 CUPA slates over a period of four years on a number of projects. Managing Director Paul Farrier comments, “CUPA slates are our first choice for any project due to their competitive price and consistent quality, which reduces the time we would normally spend sorting the slate before laying. It was our recommendation to the developers that CUPA 12 slates be used for Belgrave Place”.
All Cupa natural slate is classified by quality and type before being dispatched and is also barcoded and labelled so the characteristics and source of the slate are recorded, affording unsurpassed traceability and future matching.
Cupa’s experience and the quality of its slate are recognised by the fact that around one in every four natural roofing slates specified around the world is a Cupa slate.
