Ariane

Ariane

The engineer group CBS-CBT develops since the late 1990s a structural system, conceived for agricultural and commercial purpose: the frame truss Ariane.

The concept was brought to life to answer two current and future demands To propose buildings from a point of view of sustainable development, especially by using recyclable material with low cost of energy for refining, placing and transport and by a partnership with local enterprices.

To offer economical attractive solutions: Systems both made for
industrialization and flexible in their concept for spans up to 55m and 60m.

The Ariane Concept
The Ariane 1 concept is based on the use of planed or non planed boards of usual length and quality (C22 – C24) to produce frame works of important spans which are capable to bare high loads and overloads (snow, crane runways,…).

The structure is based on the principle of a plane truss or other truss systems.

According to the loads the sections are composed of 2 to 6 layers of boards to assure the bearing of normal forces and moments. In the nodes and at the bearings the dimension lumber section is reinforced with LVL boards of the Kerto type (1 to 3 layers).

These junction plates, screwed, nailed or bolted in between the dimension lumber sections enable to take sheer and perpendiculaire forces.

These high performing plates offer a large connection surface and allow to work with canonic nodes which avoid excentricities with second grade moments.
The diagonals are either connected with these plates in panel form.
