THE "VULCANO BUONO", DESIGNED BY RENZO PIANO, OPENED
The largest multifunctional centre in Italy, whose inauguration was attended by the Italian Premier and VIP Italian businessmen, is in Nola (NA).Designed by Renzo Piano, the "Vulcano Buono" is a unique centre from the architectural and landscaping standpoints: in fact, the building is shaped like the nearby Vesuvius volcano, housing five functional sectors around a large square created in the central crater. The 147,000 covered square meters include an Auchan hypermarket with 80 registers, a mall with 180 shops, a Warner Village multiplex cinema with 9 screens furniture and a 150 room Holiday Inn hotel. The entire complex is serviced by a WLHP system (water loop heat pump) chosen during modern design for its high energy efficiency, installation simplicity and high application versatility.Clivet systems are in all complex sectors with more than 300 installations.
Common areas and medium-sized areas are serviced by more than 40 CRH series rooftop water-air heat pumps while mall shops have CH and EVH SPACE wall installations. There are nine rooftops dedicated to the hypermarket sales and register area and the processing areas are serviced by a hydronic system based on high efficiency Spinchillers and home air conditioning units.Even the multiplex cinema uses the original CSNX rooftops, designed for highly crowded areas and complete with active thermo-dynamic type heat recovery from air exhaust, here in the H version for loop systems.
