Design on Stage Trascreativity

The creative pole of Fuorisalone 2008 celebrating 360' art
Triennale Salone del Mobile - Milano
Organized by Laura Villani

Following last year's huge success, on the occasion of the forthcoming Salone del Mobile, DESIGN ON HOME STAGE will once again enliven the Fuorisalone with its creative salon in the renowned square opposite the Triennale, the contemporary vehicle to host the most important names in the field of design, art and much, much more.
"DESIGN ON STAGE - TRASCREATIVITY" organized by LAURA VILLANI, is the name of this vibrant centre of the Fuorisalone which will focus on the theme "creativity as transgression".

The Design on Stage 2008 event at the Palazzo della Triennale presents, within a space planned with works of art mounted into the Pavilion facade, the majesty of a place in constant motion where, every day, new stars bring to life the stage, that is part salon, part photographic set and part location for a design exhibition and a venue for the designers of Pareti d'Autore. Pareti d'Autore created by DESIGNTALESTUDIO, Refin Ceramiche creative laboratory, have been designed by prominent figures of the international elite, emanating from artistic environments as diverse as architecture, design, art, fashion and music, interpreting the theme "creativity as transgression" with their personal flair.

If Design on Stage 2007 saw the participation of extraordinary artists such as Sandra Bermudez, Lucio Dalla, Michele De Lucchi, Elio Fiorucci, Peter Halley, Romina Power and Karim Rashid, Design on Stage 2008 will see famous architects and designers such as MARIO BELLINI and ALESSANDRO MENDINI as well as fashion-designers MARIUCCIA MANDELLI KRIZIA, and VIVIENNE WESTWOOD.

The ceramic Parete d'Autore is thought as a work of art connected to design and architecture, representing a new way to make art interact with architecture and interior design, thus offering different artistic interpretations which mark a new concept of space.

Once again this year, each guest will be open to interviews and meetings concerning his or her personal creative world. Other important guests anticipated include VITO and ELIO FIORUCCI who, with "creativity" as the theme, will explore different worlds and fields as diverse as cooking, music, cinema and photography.
