Ceramiche Keope is proud to announce that it will contribute, by donating material, to the realization of the University of L’Aquila building, which will become the future seat of some accounts departments. L'Aquila, which has become the symbol of the terrible earthquake that devastated the entire Abruzzo region on April 6th, 2009, has always been a university town and the construction of new buildings for University is one of the main aims to give citizens their facilities and their hopes.
The material that Ceramiche Keope will be donating within the end of September, for refurbishing interior and exterior areas of the building, includes: some items of the Arkasa collection and from the In&Out line.
The project is the result of the educational and scientific co-operation between the University of L’Aquila and the University of Parma and has has been entrusted to the Studio di Progettazione Consulenza e Progetti of Parma. Donation collecting has been handled directly by the two companies of Parma who have been entrusted with the building work: CO.GE Costruzioni Generali S.p.A. – that has been working for forty years in the building trade both in Italy and abroad and Consorzio esi (sustainable and innovative building) – a group of companies that believes in technological and organisational innovation for the building trade.
The latter has been established for the purpose of promoting the study and development of sustainable building techniques and considers technological innovation as an essential aspect.
Thanks to the great commitment demonstrated over the last years towards environmental issues, Ceramiche Keope has been chosen, along with other companies, to give its contribution to this important project.
In fact, during the last years Ceramiche Keope has constructed its leadership in technological innovation by means of considerable investments in research and development. The company's achievements are particularly visible in the GreenThinking project – a logo with which the company offers its customers added value and gives them the possibility to make responsible choices and select sustainable projects. To this, one must also add the certifications obtained: ISO 14064 – enforcement of the Kyoto Protocol, Ecolabel, ISO 9001.
