For the 2007 edition of Cersaie, Ceramiche Keope will be introducing the innovative TI-LED lighting system for its collections.
This system is the ideal solution for decorating and solving lighting problems in public or private environments, which are generally dark or poorly lit, by tracing paths of light.

The LED emitters selected by Ceramiche Keope guarantee the highest flow of light if compared to systems currently available on the market and allow for the creation of the most brilliant solid state lighting solutions; the LED beam furniture of light does not emit dangerous ultraviolet rays nor infrared rays hence solving problems of aging or fading of the objects/surfaces exposed to light.

The LED employed make use of solid state technology known as the "inverted pyramid"; they do not contain moving parts, which means that there is no risk of them breaking, going out of order, leaking dangerous substances and contaminating the environment. The advantages of this technology are many: a longer life with respect to other sources of light, no maintenance costs, reduced cost of operation, and cold starting with no problem whatsoever. The LED resist damp, do not contain mercury and do not deteriorate even if they are subject to strong vibrations.
Since the LED offered/adopted by Ceramic Keope last at least 25 times longer than conventional sources of light, there is no need to replace them. This means that maintenance costs and costs relating to replacement of light bulbs are virtually reduced to zero. This system is also particularly energy saving.

The TI-LED system can be applied on all modern collections of the Ceramiche Keope range and is available in 4 formats:
60x60 – module with 2 lighting points - that can be applied on the following series: Design, Pietra di Noto, Life, Contempora and Wish (Diagram A)
60x120 – module with 2 and 4 lighting points – that can only be applied on Life (Diagrams B and C)
30x120 – module with 4 lighting points – that can only be applied on Life (Diagram D)

The colour emitted by the LED depends on the colour of the polycarbonate cap protecting it. The caps are interchangeable and are available in seven colours: WHITE, AMBER, BLU, GREEN, RED, MAGENTA, FLUORESCENT and can be replaced easily and rapidly by anyone.

Concerning installation of modern tiles containing LED, they can be installed using traditional adhesives. There is no need for any preliminary treatment of the substrate since the space occupied beneath the tile is only 3 mm.

By launching this system, Ceramiche Keope increases the solutions it offers to designers and contemporary architects and gives the possibility to create customised solutions for homes, showrooms, hotels, luxury homes and all environments in which lighting plays an important role.
