BROAD was awarded “global partner of Expo 2010 Shanghai China”


October 9th, 2008 witnessed a small signing ceremony held between Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination and BROAD Air Conditioning. BROAD has officially become a "global partner of Expo 2010 Shanghai". BROAD is the 13th"global partner" after China Telecom, Siemens, GM, Coca Cola, etc. The Ceremony was attended by Mr. Yang Xiong, Executive Deputy Mayor of Shanghai Municipal People's Government and Executive Deputy Director of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai Executive Committee, Mr. Hong Hao, Director General of Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, Mr. Zhang Yue, Chairman of BROAD Air Conditioning, and Mr. Lu Hu, BROAD Vice President … BROAD is the exclusive supplier of central air conditioning, ventilation and air purification products for Expo 2010 Shanghai pavilions, and also the only Chinese private enterprise among global partners of Expo 2010 Shanghai.

Mr. Yang Xiong stated in his speech it was a very important choice for Expo 2010 Shanghai to use only BROAD air conditioning systems. BROAD non-electric air conditioning embodies the philosophy and vision of "Low Carbon World Expo" by dramatically reducing the energy consumption and cutting CO2 emissions by 80%. BROAD air conditioning terminal products and air purifiers reflect the theme of "Better City, Better Life" by greatly enhancing the indoor air quality.

Being Vice Chairman of the UNEP SBCI (Sustainable Buildings & Construction Initiative), Mr. Zhang Yue addressed that BROAD would not only provide energy-saving, healthy air conditioning products and systems for the Expo, but also advocate concepts of building energy conservation, quality air and health during the Expo. More than 70 million+ visitors would personally read energy-saving data of every building and experience the clean and comfortable air in every space.
