The BRAC Pre-Filter is recommended for use with all of the BRAC Residential Grey Water Recycling Systems (RGW) and Semi-Commercial Systems (SGW). These external pre-filters are used to extend the use of the integrated filtration when connected to laundry machines or devices that expend a larger than normal quantity of lint, hair, dirt, etc.

Features of the Brac System

The self-contained units are easily installed into the buildings greywater piping system upstream of the Brac System in an accessible location. A bypass pipe is then installed upstream of the pre-filter and connected to the Brac System's overflow pipe.

This will divert water safely to the building sanitary sewer in case the filter should ever clog causing the greywater to back-up. The below illustarion shows a typical piping arrangement for a pre-filter installation.

These durable units can also be used with any rainwater harvesting system to filter out leaves and debris before the rainwater enters the system.

The maintenance is a breeze and only requires that the inner basket be removed and rinsed out.
