AEON’S SPEIRA PROVIDES THE PERFECT FOCAL POINT FOR ARCHITECTURAL SPACES

With cues drawn from the symmetry and beauty of a DNA strand and engineered to heat the largest of spaces, Speira from Aeon Radiator Heaven is a sculptural installation designed to be centrally mounted in modern open plan rooms.

Speira is constructed from 120 individual satin finish brushed stainless steel blades sited precisely at 90 degree to the next and curving through 180 degree from top to bottom over the full 2,400 mm height of the design furniture. The result of this precision engineering is an almost Escher like (Maurits Cornelius Escher, 1898-1972, most famous for his so-called impossible home structures, such as Ascending and Descending, and Relativity) effect with the eye being drawn through and around the centre of the design, which appears as a continuous spiral no matter from what angle it is viewed.

Architectural led lights housed in both the top and base of Speira project a subtle laser-like effect across each blade, accentuating the effect of the apparently intertwined semi-spirals created by the precise positioning of each individual blade. The base of this centrally mounted radiator conceals all plumbing pipe work and valve connections, combining engineering expertise and aesthetic consideration in equal measure.

Unlike many contemporary designer radiators manufacturer, as much attention to detail has been applied to Speira’s energy efficiency and overall heat output as to the visual elements. Its low water content, high area of wet surface and very high circulation provides a heat output of 5,998 Watts, enough to heat the largest of open rooms.

Two variants are available, the larger with 120 blades, the smaller with 60 blades and a heat output of 3,116 Watts.
