For the remodeling of a building pool hall in Fontainebleau, French user Vincent Bansard chose to work on both Revit and Artlantis. For his own good !
“ I created the 3D base model in Revit, from the existing blueprints. Then I modeled the furniture using the builder’s files in Rhinoceros. Finally I transfered everything into Artlantis to render my images.
Highly intuitive, adaptable, fast and efficient, Artlantis is excellent design software that I recommend ! The file transfer from DWF to 3D is very fluid, and all my models moved seamlessly into Artlantis. This 3D workflow is perfect for me. With Artlantis, I produce four-star renderings.
For the rearranged floors, billiard tables manufacturers and contract chairs, the Artlantis shaders I used looked great on these 3D entities. I added some additional interior lights, neons and spots, as well as daylighting using the Artlantis Heliodon, all rendered with radiosity. This requires a fast computer. I worked on a dual-core Intel with an Open GL card, and 2 GB of RAM. It’s not the fastest setup, but it allows to render uninterrupted. Some images were rendered for an A4 paper format and had 3 million polygons. They took from 4 to 15 hours to render, notably the image of a bar with bottles and glasses, illuminated using radiosity ”.
